In June this year, Indian telecom service provider Tata DoCoMo announced that it would bill at the rate of one paisa (around 0.0002 cents) per second. Since then, its competitors have followed suit by announcing similar rates, and the result has been a price war with no apparent end in sight. What effects will the price war have on India's crowded telecom market, and how will telecom providers manage to stay afloat in the face of sinking revenues?
